Today I stopped by and noticed something was different. The coffee tasted burnt. That's why I am not a patron of Starbucks, because I prefer the smoother taste of Tim's. Perhaps they have started utilizing their Dark Roast blend in standard coffee cups, explaining the different taste. That is their current advertising push: Try our Dark Roast. Next time I stop by, I'll see if they have or have not changed my cherished double double.
As for hot chocolate, it remains one of the best. Perhaps a little less rich than I recall, but still delicious.
Donuts still outclass other institutions by a mile. Their vanilla sprinkle is covered in small, colorful planets of flavor. Each one with its own ecosystems and biomes, coming together in a magnificently subtle blend of pleasure. The selection is consistently fresh.
So far, Tim Hortons is still the best.
Only time will tell if Burger King will remain true to my poor history with them. I sincerely fear that The King will drag Timmy's down. BK's terrible quality may be what saved Robert Downey Jr. from a life or addiction, but I don't need to question my life choices when I can rely on Tim Hortons for reliable, high quality service.
I love interacting with people, so please feel free to comment or send me a message.
